Terri and Steve were competing in the Table Topics Contest (Terri 3rd place and Steve 2nd place). Terri and Sara were competing in the Humorous Contest (Sara 3rd place). Our club was represented at the 24 Sept 2016 Area 22 Humorous and Table Topics Contests by Terri, Sara, Steve, Bev, and Liz. When competing, it's always helpful to see friendly faces in the audience, so come to the contest and support Terri and Clotilde. The combined Areas 21/22 contests will be held Sep 9 (doors open at 8:00, briefings at 8:30, contests start at 9:00 AM) at The Powell United Methodist Church atĩ825 E. Terri will be representing our club at the Humorous Contest, and Clotilde at the 2017 Table Topics Contest. Our club Humorous/Table Topics winners this year are shown here (at left). Winners now go on to the combined Division B, C, and H contests on Saturday, April 14th at the Columbus Weights and MEasures Bldg ( 750 Piedmont Rd here in Columbus). On Wednesday, 2 October, club member Terri Lechton gave a presentation on Toastmasters. What he told us sounded like so many tall tales, but it was all true (or so he said - heehee). We also had a very entertaining speech by new member Rick Amore, wherein he challenged anyone to tell how many lies he told. We tried another new table layout for our 15 Jan meeting, and it worked out well. (Keep scrolling down, there's LOTS more to see!)
